Kellie Martin, an American TV and film actress popular for her role in the roles of Christy Huddleston on the historical drama'Christy Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Family drama 'Life Goes on The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama 'ER'. Also, she is known for being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher, Martin started her career in acting at the young age of seven when her aunt, who served as the nanny of actor Michael Landon's kids, assisted her in landing a guest spot in the series of 1982 "Father Murphy.". She began acting professionally when she graduated from Yale University. This led to her being offered major parts in both the television and film industry. Martin is, in addition to acting, she is also an accomplished photographer and ballet dancer. Martin is the mother of two children and is the spokesperson of Lupus. After her 19 year old sister's passing Martin has been trying to educate people about the disease.
